Daniel started trading markets and coding during his teenage years. He then founded a technology company on leaving high school which managed I.T. infrastructure for schools and small businesses in Western Australia. Daniel represented Western Australia in cricket and earned a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance at Curtin University. In 2007, at age 24, Daniel sold his company and went travelling through Europe, during which time he joined Schroeder Equities as assistant portfolio manager for the Nestor Australian Fund in Munich. Daniel then commenced research and development on his own diversified global macro investment process, combining his skills as a coder and experience as an investor to manage his own capital. In 2008, he began publishing his research and market calls, which were read by a significant investor in Switzerland who helped launch the Aimed Global Alpha global macro Fund in late 2013.

Axel finished an apprenticeship with Deutsche Bank, then completed a law degree at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich before joining Kleinwort Benson ́s Australian Division as a stock broker. He joined Macquarie Bank in 1989 and co-founded their German operations. In 2003 he became Head of Macquarie ́s structured products team in Germany. Under his leadership many innovative fund and investment structures have been developed and distributed. As Senior Managing Director, he led Macquarie ́s German business from 2007 until 2011. Moving to Sydney in 2008, he restructured the business and integrated it into Macquarie ́s fund management operations. Axel is currently the Non Executive Chairman for Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions Europe.



Rob has worked for a number of private equity firms across real estate, buy-outs and technology. His experience spans capital raising, financing, structuring, reporting and compliance. Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Finance from the University of Cambridge. He is a qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and speaks fluent German.



Wilhelm has worked in capital markets since 1985 and was head of the Macquarie Bank Munich office from 1989 to 2005. He then founded Schroeder Equities, which advises German speaking institutional investors on Australian equities. He is also the formal advisor to the Nestor Australian Find since May 2002.


Sandra Bader

Sandra completed her studies in Psychology and has worked with Daniel and Wilhelm since 2007. Focusing on administration, client relations and event management. She has extensive experience in the finance, airline and chemical industries, previously working with Hypovereinsbank, Lufthansa and Clariant.



Andrej is a serial entrepreneur and active business angel. He previously reported directly to the CEO of Bertelsmann and led the turnaround of German broadcasting network VOX. From 1997 until 2004 he founded and sold several companies in the media space. Since 2005 Andrej acts as an entrepreneurial investor funding mainly deep-tech companies in the US. Andrej graduated from the Institut d´Etudes de Sciences Politiques, Paris, in 1991.




Emanuel graduated from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich - School of Law in 1995. Following a post graduate degree, a doctorate and work in a start-up practice, he joined Hengeler Mueller in 2000. He specialises in public and private mergers & acquisitions, Private Equity and Venture Capital.
